Early signs positive as Valley begins to reopen

Evesham Editorial 12th Jun, 2020   0

RETAIL bosses at The Valley have revealed early visitor numbers as it slowly reopens to shoppers following the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.

Blue Diamond Home and Garden and Grape Tree reopened to visitors and since then the shops have welcomed 50 per cent of their usual footfall, nearly 13,000 visitors a week.

The Valley’s 125 acres of countryside has also proved popular with people seeking safe and accessible outdoor space for exercise.

Phil Maclean, marketing director at The Valley, said: “During the lockdown, we remained busy preparing and maintaining the site for when we could fully reopen.

“We have been actively promoting and implementing social distancing throughout the communal areas at The Valley,” he added.

Following the latest Government guidelines, the remainder of The Valley’s 20 shops and cafés will be opening in the coming weeks.
