DRUGS and a weapon were among the items seized from a person in Evesham during a stop and search carried out by police.
As part of Operation Protect, police also took cash and phones from the individual who was arrested on the scene and remains in custody.
A further individual was detained later on in the day with a similar haul seized by officers.
The operation was carried out by members of West Mercia Police’s Local Policing Priority Team, Evesham Safer Neighbourhood Team and the force’s operations unit.
