THREE members of South Worcestershire Lifesaving Club have been chosen to represent their home nations in the 2019 Royal Lifesaving Society Commonwealth Festival of Lifesaving.

Thirty-year-old Luisa Petta has been chosen for the Scotland national team, 18-year-old Amy Weston has been selected for the England development team and 18-year-old Alex Jackson has made the Welsh national team.

Jackson also has the added honour of being chosen as the Welsh national men’s captain for the event.

The trio headed off to Leeds’ John Charles Centre for Sport this week for national events taking place yesterday and today (Thursday and Friday) and they will then be joined by other members of South Worcestershire Lifesaving Club who will be taking part in the Commonwealth Challenge and National Lifesaving Championships on Saturday and Sunday.

Joining the trio in action at the latter event will be team-mates Tom Clifford, Bob Rice, Ellen Forson, Lucy Innett, Luke Smith, Lara Harding, Clara Forson, Rebecca Leahney, Ruby Stankovich and James Young.
