COUNTBACK was required to determine the winner of Evesham Golf Club seniors’ Jubilee Cup competition which was won by Martin Williams in dramatic fashion.
The medal competition was played over the 6,357 yards of the white course and the contest was keenly fought among the 25 players, of which the top four received handicap reductions.
Dave Kewley, who drove the ball beautifully, was fourth with nett 72 and Ian Facer third with nett 70. Alan Askew and Williams both came in with 69 and it was Williams who triumphed on countback.
