Kidderminster 42 Evesham 10

Midlands Two West (South)

FOR the second successive match Evesham were overpowered by a promotion-chasing side as they went down to defeat against their fellow Worcestershire outfit on Saturday.

Despite scoring first via a Tom Williams penalty kick, the visitors were not in the game for much of the match.

They trailed 25-3 at half-time before a try from Fred Hopper, converted by Williams, provided a brief flicker of hope in the second half, but Kidderminster proved too strong.

The loss resulted in Evesham slipping a place to ninth and sets up a tantalising home match against eighth-placed Leamington on Saturday (3pm). Evesham go into the match three points above the bottom two.
