A LANDMARK Evesham retirement village will open its doors this weekend in a bid to fill more than 100 jobs on the multi-million pound development.

Managers at Richmond Wood Norton revealed the recruitment drive ahead of the open days tomorrow (Friday) from 10am to 8pm on Saturday from 10am to 4pm at the Wood Norton Hotel.

The luxury development will open its doors to residents in March and bosses are now looking to fill a range of full and part time roles across the care, hospitality, spa therapy and fitness, maintenance, administration and housekeeping parts of the business.

Village manager Paul Brady said: “We’re in a fantastic position to be able to give a welcome boost to the local economy by bringing more than 100 new jobs to the area.

“While experience is important for some roles, what we’re really looking for is people that share our passion for helping people live longer, healthier and happier lives. As a new site, the village has state-of-the-art facilities, and we’re looking for colleagues with a dedication to match.”

Part of Bupa, Richmond Wood Norton will boast more than 100 properties available to buy or rent as well as a 60 bed village care home.

The village will support the needs and requirements of residents aged 55 and over, with a choice of retirement accommodation which will include 61 independent living apartments, alongside 46 village suites which come with a lifestyle package including meals, housekeeping and laundry service.

Residents will have full use of the property’s state-of-the-art wellness spa, fitness suite, licensed bar, restaurant and private cinema where daily social events will be held for both residents and members of the local community.

Local GP’s, district nurses and care workers were set to take a peek at the village during an event today (Thursday).
