EVESHAM’S stuttering Midlands Two West (South) campaign continued with a fifth defeat in six matches as they were beaten 43-17 at fellow mid-table side Leamington on Saturday.
The defeat leaves the Avonsiders ninth in the table – seven points above the bottom two – ahead of their return to league action at home to third-placed Nuneaton Old Edwardians on December 1.
The Vale side will hope to have several key players back from injury by the time they host the north Warwickshire outfit.
Despite the scoreline, it was a decent afternoon’s work on Saturday for centre Andy Robinson who scored two of the tries and a conversion for Evesham, for whom left wing Liam Berry also crossed the whitewash.
