Leaders finish well to see off stubborn Evesham

Evesham Editorial 8th Nov, 2018   0

EVESHAM suffered defeat to a promotion-chasing side for the second weekend in succession as leaders Kidderminster prevailed 41-8 on Saturday.

The visitors made it seven wins from as many games in Midlands Two West (South) thanks to a strong second half performance.

Evesham, who remain eighth, started well and scored an early try through Liam Berry and remained in contention at 15-5 down at half-time.

A second half penalty from Andy Robinson narrowed the deficit briefly before Kidderminster broke Evesham’s resistance with three late tries to seal victory.

Evesham take a break from league action with the visit of Ledbury in the North Midlands Shield quarter-finals on Saturday (2.15pm).
