A DETERMINED duo from Evesham have raised £1,010 for Cancer Research UK after taking on the gruelling 9km Devil Mud Run in memory of loved ones.
Jade West and partner William Green were swamped in mud as they scrambled, jumped, crawled and swam their way across the demanding hilly course in Gloucestershire which boasted rugged countryside, woodland and more than 31 obstacles.
Jade undertook the challenge in memory of her grandfather Michael Smith, who passed away in January, and William for family friend Dot Wright, who sadly lost her battle in September last year.
The couple’s families are incredibly proud of both their efforts.
Jade said: ‘We would both like to thank everyone who has supported us and donated to Cancer Research UK.
“To have ran in memory of two amazing people makes us immensely proud.”
