A MUSICAL bridge between two valleys will be on offer this weekend at Pershore Abbey.
Pershore Town Choir and the Amman Valley Male Voice Choir are jointly presenting a Festival of Song in the Abbey tomorrow (Saturday) from 7.30pm and tickets are £10.
The concert was first scheduled for March but was cancelled due to a snow storm which cut off the Amman Valley in Wales.
Both choirs will sing their own repertoire and then come together for a finale.
In their programme of 12 songs, the Town Choir will conjure up the Welsh valleys as they sing Dylan Thomas’s Sunset poem and celebrate England with Parry’s glorious coronation anthem I was Glad.
The combined finale will include The Rhythm of Life, We’ll Keep a Welcome in the Hillside and the Welsh National Anthem.
