THE TONY SANSONE Mixed Trophy competition was won by Lin and Mike Everitt with an impressive 41 points.
Conditions were excellent for the Broadway Golf Club event, which featured 26 pairs in a greensomes stableford competing for the award donated in 2005 in memory of one of Broadway’s respected former members.
Runners-up with 40 points were Jan and Jim Titley, closely followed in third by Dereck Buttler and Pat Righton who matched the impressive score but were edged out on countback.
THE SCORES reflected the quality of the course when BGC’s ladies competed in the Mercia Castle Stableford over two days.
Winning the Silver Division was Liz Smith with a superb 37 points, ahead of second-placed Jenny Buchan with 35 and Vicky Watkins in third with 34.
Fran Andrews topped the Bronze Division with a tremendous 41 points, Chris Parkinson was second with 36 and Barbara Crew third with 35.
The best two cards in each division now go forward to county for consideration for the highest overall score in Gloucestershire and the opportunity to win the prestigious Mercia Castle Trophy.
