Toyah unplugged at arts centre

Evesham Editorial 17th Jul, 2018   0

HOUSEHOLD name, pop star, TV presenter and actress Toyah Wilcox performs an unplugged set of her well-loved hits and classic songs and recalls stories from her colourful 35-year career.

From filming pop videos on horseback at 5am to acting alongside Katharine Hepburn and Laurence Olivier, this show at Evesham Arts Centre on Saturday, September 29 lifts the lid on working in the entertainment business.

Talented guitarists Chris Wong and Colin Hinds accompany Toyah on meticulous and melodic acoustic versions of the hits It’s A Mystery, Thunder In The Mountains, I Want To Be Free and Good Morning Universe through to Sensational, used recently by a TV advert starring Patsy Kensit.

Toyah: Up Close and Personal is a unique chance to experience Toyah in an intimate setting where music and stories take centre stage.

Her show kicks off at 7.30pm and tickets cost £21 and £19 for concessions from the Box Office on 01386 446944 or online at www.eveshamartscentre.co.uk
