STAFF and residents at Sanctuary Care’s Heathlands Residential Care Home were greeted by festive furry friends and youngsters from Cherry Orchard Primary School last Friday.
As part of the Alzheimer’s Society’s Elf Day, the Chirstmas extravaganza saw staff head-to-toe in elf attire.
Year three pupils were on hand to perform their favourite carols to the residents, as well as to help bake Christmas cookies while the undoubted highlight was the appearance of seven-year-old reindeer, Fern and Uno, from Smart Trees in Bishampton.
Alzheimer’s Society’s Elf Day encourages people to let out their ‘inner elf’ to help raise money for people affected by dementia.
Natasha Craddock, activities leader at Heathlands said: “Our Elf Day was fabulously festive, and it was great to welcome new young faces to our home. The room was full of smiles and laughter.”
