A very fair result for dogs

Evesham Editorial 14th Dec, 2017   0

STAFF and volunteers at Dogs Trust Evesham have thanked the community for helping to raise more than £3,000 at its annual festive fair.

The Wickhamford-based rehoming centre raised a record-breaking £3,093 at its recent Santa Paws event, where visitors enjoyed photographs with the charity’s four-legged friends, a raffle, tombola and gift and craft stalls.

Shauna Stedman, supporter relations officer at Dogs Trust Evesham, said: “So many supporters came along and we’re absolutely amazed by how much has been raised.

“We knew last year was hard to beat but we did it. Everyone had a fabulous time and we raised £400 more than we did at last year’s Christmas fair.

“Everything we do is focused on giving our dogs the best care possible whilst they are with us. Without the support of the dog-loving public throughout the year, we wouldn’t be able to do this, so we would like to say a huge thank you to all those who helped make the event such a big success.”
