RICHARD FORD won the first festival match of the Evesham Jubilee Angling Society Christmas season as he topped a 22-strong field in the Turkey contest, fishing the Waggler from J25 to secure an excellent winter weight of 38lb 11oz.
Stu Thomson finished second on J16 with 31lb 2oz, Phil Seedhouse was third from J2 with 27lb 12oz and Chris Taylor claimed fourth place with 26lb 14oz from J23.
Section winners were Alan Gardner (25lb 4oz), Graham Scott (17lb 4oz), Doug Smith (17lb 14oz) and Bob Evans (5lb 6oz).
