It's a perfect ten for new leaders Strawberry Field United

STRAWBERRY Field United moved top of Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League Division Three with a comfortable 10-2 home win over struggling Fairfield Titans thanks to goals from Ballard (4), Connor Sherry (2), Colston (2), Dan Sherry and Huxley. Titans were on the mark through Vizor and Ingram.

TDMS Evesham recorded an excellent 3-1 win at Stour Excelsior Res through Upson, McGarr and Patching, whilst goals from Jeffrey and Benfield earned Pebworth a 2-1 victory at Ashton 88, for whom James scored.

In the local derby, Ambi Allsports took the honours with a 6-3 win at Bengeworth. Johns (3), Corr, Booth and Tarry scored for Ambi and Giles, Burford and Jelfs netted for Bengeworth.

In Division Two, a first half strike from William Aspey was enough to maintain Broadway United Reserves’ promotion push in a 1-0 triumph at Cropthorne, whilst a last-minute equaliser earned Sun Inn a 1-1 draw at TDMS Harvington who had taken the lead through Wallace.




Badsey Recreation picked up a welcome three points as they won 4-3 at neighbours Fortis. Rainey, Simcox and Warner scored for the home team and Davis (2), Attwood and Reeves were on target for Badsey.

Bretforton Old Boys opened a six-point lead at the top of Division One with a 6-2 home victory over Stour Excelsior in which Clarke (2), Reeves, Brain, Cooke and Gayton scored for Old Boys and Clarke and Ford scored for Stour.


Broadway United’s title hopes were dented by a shock 4-1 home defeat to New Inn Pershore, whilst Tewkesbury Town came from behind to win 7-4 at Evesham WMC as Town scored through Butler (3), Tarling, Davies, Brady and Dyson and the Workies’ goals came from Dixon (2), Bearcroft and Grady.

Inkberrow progressed into the Mick Godwin Cup second round with a 3-0 victory at Dragons as Walker (2) and Guy did the damage.

Alderton and visitors Bretforton Old Boys Reserves shared six goals before the Old Boys triumphed in a penalty shoot-out. Greaves, Pennell and Trainor scored for Alderton and Stanley (2) and Brain registered for Old Boys.
