Breathtaking ballet on its way to town

Evesham Editorial 5th Dec, 2017   0

A BREATHTAKING live production of festive ballet is heading to Evesham in the run up to Christmas.

The acclaimed Vienna Festival Ballet will perform one of the most famous Tchaikovsky great classics, The Nutcracker, at Evesham Arts Centre tomorrow.

The enchanting tale centres around Clara and her nutcracker doll, which magically transforms into a princely soldier.

Their adventures see Clara and the famous doll combat the Mouse King and join the Sugar Plum Fairy and her cavalier on a wonderful journey through a shimmering winter land, to a Kingdom made entirely of sweets.

Returning by popular demand following several successful performances, The Nutcracker promises to be a delightful treat for all the family.

With no screens or satellites, the audience can get close to the magic of ballet and really appreciate the hard work and fine detail, which go into creating a Christmas spectacle.

The performance also offers an ideal opportunity to introduce children to the art and skills of ballet.

The event starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £20 for adults, £18 for concessions and £13 for children.

Call the centre’s Box Office on 01386 446944 or visit www.eveshamartscentre.co.uk for more information.
