Put your best paw forward for The Valley's Christmas dog parade

VALE residents and their four-legged friends are being invited to put their best foot and paw forward for the return of the Christmas dog parade at The Valley.

The popular event takes place on Christmas Eve from 9.30am until 10.30am and this year all funds raised through registration fees will be donated to Teckels’ Animal Sanctuary in Gloucester to support homeless dogs and cats.

The doggy parade will wind its way through The Valley’s picturesque 125-acre site, led by Santa himself, whilst Christmas music plays in the background.

There will be prizes for the best-dressed dogs and their owners. All four-legged attendees will also receive their own bespoke medal and goody bag.

Paul James, Centre Manager at The Valley, said: “Our annual Christmas Dog Parade is always a hugely popular event and it’s not hard to see why.

“With fun for all the family, money raised for a good cause and, of course, the chance to see dogs strutting their stuff in their festive finery, even the most hard-hearted of Scrooges would struggle to say bah humbug.”
