Evesham opticians bake their way to success

STAFF from an Evesham opticians proved they were all heart as they hosted a bake sale which raised nearly £350 for the British Heart Foundation.

The team from Specsavers on Bridge Street honed their best baking skills to raise £345.56 for the charity.

The British Heart Foundation is the nation’s heart charity and the largest independent funder of cardiovascular research in the UK.

Store director Amy Liau said: “The British Heart Foundation is a cause that’s particularly close to us as our team member,Sonia Palmer’s son Woody, underwent heart surgery in February last year.




“We’re keen to do all we can to not only raise funds for the charity, but also awareness about heart disease.”
