Pershore riders qualify for National Schools Equestrian Association Championships

NUMEROUS Pershore High School pupils produced impressive performances at Kings Equestrian Centre in Bromyard to qualify for October’s National Schools Equestrian Association Championships at Addington, Buckinghamshire.

The team of Hannah Cartwright, Ellie Gilkes, Emily Cooper and Erin Hobbs won the 90cm competition and qualified for the championships.

Gilkes, Lauren Carpenter, Verity Hodge and Hobbs came second in the 1m competition and qualified for the championships.

Carpenter won the 1m individual event to qualify, whilst Cartwright who came fourth and Gilkes sixth individually in the 90cm competition have qualified for the Championship Plate.




Gilkes will also compete in the 1m Championship Plate after a fifth placed finish.

Lily Elliott, Mouse Robinson, Cooper and Grace Titterton finished fifth in the 80cm competition to reach the Championship Plate.


Also competing in the Championship Plate will be Elliott, Karus Robinson, Hodge and Titterton after finishing fifth in the 90cm competition.

Pershore High headteacher Clive Corbett said: “We are proud of these girls and all they give to the team.”
