MALCOLM HISCOCK carded a fine nett 70 to win Evesham Golf Club seniors’ Costa Craycombe trophy.
Tim Swift was just beaten into second place on countback after also carding nett 70. In third place was Doug Sharp with nett 74.
Twenty golfers had set out on a fine sunny morning to play in this competition, which is a Medal off the white tees.
This is a tough challenge for the seniors, but some excellent golf was played on an enjoyable morning.
EGC seniors were edged out 4-2 by visitors Tewkesbury Park in the return inter-club fixture.
On the warmest day of the year so far and on a fine course, some excellent golf was played by both teams.
One of the visitors recorded a nett 67 playing off a handicap of 11, whilst many of the matches swung one way then the other.
