LOUIE Kennedy and Martin Rees were victorious when Pershore Duplicate Bridge Club held its annual handicap competition for the Michael Farey Trophy, played in memory of one of the club’s founders.
The event is specifically designed to give everyone, of whatever ability, an equal chance of winning, but current club champions Louie and Martin not only significantly beat all the other competitors but also the handicapper!
Full results, after handicap applied: 1st – Louie Kennedy and Martin Rees, 63.19; 2nd – Janet Scaife and Jim Aitkenhead, 56.20; 3rd – Liz Potter and Alan Boyes, 55.62.
