TOWN earned a hard fought point thanks to a spirited display on Saturday but remain in the bottom two.

Quentin Townsend’s men were the better side but are now without a win in five matches.

In the opening half Reece Jacobs’ close range shot was well saved by Hayes’ keeper and the same pattern continued in the second half.

Richard Thomas Robinson blasted a good opportunity over the bar when well positioned and Jacobs forced a good save from the keeper.

From the resulting corner Dane Aldington’s header was cleared off the line.

As the game went on, Heath Hayes enjoyed more possession but Town’s defence held firm.

Pershore entertain second placed Atherstone Town on Saturday (3pm) before hosting Chelmsley Town on Tuesday (7.45pm).
