PERSHORE High School pupil Ellie Gilkes claimed a superb victory when she competed in the Pony Club Area 7 (Warwickshire) showjumping event on Sunday.
The year ten pupil is a new member of the school equestrian team and in a relatively new partnership with her horse Mr Jasper.
Ellie competed in the 95cm class against 120 other pony club riders and managed to secure a hugely impressive first place which means she has qualified to represent her area at the National Pony Club Championships.
