How does their garden grow?

YOUNGSTERS at Pebworth First School have been digging deep thanks to a kind donation from a local garden centre.

Evesham Garden Centre, based at The Valley provided pupils with all they need to enjoy their own home-grown organic vegetables.

Two raised vegetable gardens, compost, plug plants and gardening advice on how to get the perfect crop from their in-house gardening experts were all provided by kind-hearted staff.

Once the vegetables have been harvested, children from the school will be treated to a trip to Evesham Garden Centre’s Apple Barn Restaurant, where professional chefs will demonstrate what tasty treats can be cooked up with the fruits of their labour.

Pebworth First School Leader Zoe Nosworthy said: “We’ve been teaching the children all about where our food comes from, and how to eat healthily, and any opportunity to extend our outdoor learning is hugely beneficial for our children.”
