BIG-SPENDERS Hinckley AFC proved too strong for Pershore Town, who were unable to halt their poor run of form and went down 4-1 at the 2020SolarPV Stadium on Saturday.
An evenly contested first half saw the visitors take the lead after 24 minutes with a long range shot from Luke Richards.
Two goals within six minutes early in the second half – the first from ex-Worcester City striker Marco Adaggio and the other a deflected free kick from Nathan Walker – left the hosts with a mountain to climb and it became 4-0 after 74 minutes when Ryan Seal netted.
Town did create chances as substitutes Jon Speak and Jacob Snape went close and it was Snape who scored a consolation goal for Pershore in the 88th minute when Dan Carter’s cross was headed home from close range.
Town continue their Midland Football League Division One campaign when they travel to fellow strugglers Stafford Town on Saturday.
