Rescued man dies in hospital

A MAN who rescued from the River Avon near Offenham on Monday (July 7) has died.

West Mercia Police confirmed Mark Fell, 33, from Moseley, died at Alexandra Hospital in Redditch,

Mr Fell was rescued at 11.49am, close to the Fish and Anchor Inn, but died in hospital later that day.

A West Mercia Police spokeswoman said: “Mr Fell passed away at the hospital on the same day he was taken there.




“The police are not treating the death as suspicious but enquiries are on-going.”

Fire and ambulance crews were called to pulled Mr Fell from the river.


Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 0262s of July 7 2014.
