STUDENTS from South Worcestershire College were honoured for their accomplishments with a dedicated evening of events.
One student from each course was nominated to receive an award by their Course Manager and this year for the first time, there was a McDonald Award for Mechanical Engineering.
The trophy was manufactured by ROTEC Engineering and the winning student, Tom Parry, was a student at the ROTEC Engineering Academy on Vale Park in Evesham.
The award was named in honour of the late Wychavon District Council councillor Tom McDonald who championed the regeneration of engineering and his family were on hand for the presentation.
Jack Piercy of Peopleton was recognised for his achievement and impressive work placement performance with the Tim
Malin Award for Entrepreneurship and the Principal’s Award.
Broadway teenager Todd Rimell was handed the Apprentice of the Year award after he earned the admiration and respect of his employers Discover Travel and Tours of Worcester.
A previous winner of the award, Alice Wigley, also took to the stage during the evening for an inspiring talk to staff and students.
