Cream of Cornwall

EVESHAM is set for a night full of laughter next week when one of the country’s most funniest comedians takes to the stage.

Cornish comedy legend Jethro will be performing live at the Evesham Arts Centre on Thursday, June 12, starting at 7.30pm.

The funnyman is back as large as life and on tour this year with his unique brand of irresistible West Country tales for a fun-filled night of adult comedy.

Jethro promises more tear-jerking, farcical stories featuring his old mates Denzil and Slip Along Trevaskis, as well as hilarious tales from his extensive repertoire and his successful career in TV and theatre.

Cornwall’s best-loved comic takes a very alternative look at life in the way only he can.

Jethro is the stage name of English stand-up comedian Geoffrey Rowe, based in Lewdown in Devon.

After leaving school, Rowe was apprenticed as a carpenter and then worked as a timber man in a tin mine. At the age of eighteen he joined the St. Just and District Operatic Society and, in addition to his bass voice, locals found he had a talent for making an

audience laugh.

He then began visiting the pubs of Cornwall to sing and joke and was quickly hailed as Cornwall’s top comic before making national success.

Tickets are available now costing £19.50 and can be purchased by visiting www.eveshamartscentre.co.uk or by calling the Box Office on 01386 446944.

Due to the adult nature of the show members of the audience must be at least aged 16.
