Charitable children collect cash

Evesham Editorial 22nd Jan, 2015 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

CHARITABLE children at an Evesham school put their crafting skills to the test to help make a donation to the Midlands Air Ambulance.

After talking with her grandad, De Montfort School student Mia Middleton decided to raise funds for the charity and the 11-year-old enlisted the help of her friends Jackie Tasnim, 11, and Tamzin Trigg, ten.

They painted tea lights and bottles and made cards and gift tags which they sold, for a minimum donation of 50p, during school break times in the two weeks leading up to Christmas.

More than £49 was raised by the group so a cheque for £50 was presented to the Air Ambulance during a special assembly at the Four Pools Lane site on Wednesday (January 21).
