A TOTAL of just under £200 was raised by an Evesham school who took part in a ‘look funny for money’ fun day in aid of Comic Relief.

St Andrew’s First School held the fund-raising event last Friday (March 13) and raised £192 through pupils who each paid 50p to turn up at school with brightly coloured faces and hairstyles.

Red noses which were on sale prior to the event sold out within a day and prizes were given out by the school council to children with the funniest faces in each class.

Headteacher David Coaché, said: “St Andrew’s children and staff had colossal fun making their faces and hair funny for money and our school council did an outstanding job in administrating the event, judging the winners and raising money in support of Comic Relief.”
