ROADS in Pershore and Broadway will be among those repaired as part of a £3.9million package of works by Worcestershire County Council.
Around 300 roads covering 154 miles of carriageway are to be included in the surface dressing works which will start this month and run until August.
A letter will be delivered to properties in the Vale where work is taking place and signs will be put in place in advance.
As the process of surface dressing is dependent on the weather, the schedule of work could change if conditions dictate.
Community relationship and engagement officer at Worcestershire County Council Jon Fraser said: “Worcestershire County
Council is making a significant investment in the county’s highways to repair pot holes and resurface the roads.
“Surface dressing is a great cost effective way of maintaining our county’s roads, and is efficient as it can be done quickly helping to cut down on road or lane closures that cause inconvenience to motorists.
“We aim to maintain our roads to the highest standard and this year’s investment is an increase of £500,000 on last year, building on more than £50million we have invested in the last few years.”
Residents are reminded to report any wear and tear on the roads using the council’s Report-It system at www.worcestershire.gov.uk and click on ‘Report’.
