A 23-YEAR-OLD man was taken to hospital with a suspected fractured cheekbone following a collision with a car in Evesham.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the A46 in Evesham near Broadway Road shortly after 10am on Thursday (September 11).
A responder paramedic and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham air base attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Ambulance staff arrived to find a pedestrian, a 23 year old man, who had been in collision with a car on the dual carriageway.
“The man, upon assessment, was found to have sustained a suspected fracture to his cheekbone and also had a low blood pressure reading.
“The man, who had remarkably escaped more serious injury, was given pain relief and immobilised as a precaution due to the nature of the incident.
“Once stable, he was airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further assessment and treatment.”
