A PARLIAMENTARY candidate for Mid Worcestershire looked to get Evesham’s train service on track when he met with the Prime Minister.
Conservative Nigel Huddleston travelled to 10 Downing Street to discuss several topics, including the opportunities for further improvements to the Cotswold railway line which stops at Honeybourne and Evesham.
Mr Huddleston, said: “It was truly inspiring to walk through that famous number 10 door and enter a building with so much character and history, and I was very grateful to have the opportunity to spend time with Prime Minster in the place that is both his office and his home.
“The Prime Minister told me that Sir Peter Luff had set the bar very high as the MP for Mid Worcestershire and that he expects me to fight for every vote in the upcoming election.
“He acknowledged the tireless work that Sir Peter Luff has done in securing improvements to local rail services and said that should I win in May, he would expect me to work with him and other local MPs to build the case for further redoubling of the Cotswold line, which would benefit those I aspire to represent in Mid Worcestershire.”
