TRADITIONAL jazz, psychedelic pop and a surreal humour is set to raise the roof at Number 8 in Pershore.
Almost the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, also known as The Bonzo Dog Band, will be lighting up the High Street venue on Friday, November 7 as they celebrate 50 years as a group.
This autumn looks like it will be the last Bonzo tour dates ever and the show will bring its usual batch of fun, music and subversive diversion from the largest number of Bonzos still playing together.
They have appeared with members of Monty Python, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, The Kinks, The Who and have had a top five hit with Urban Spaceman.
The Bonzo Dog Band really have seen it all having featured as the house act on Do Not Adjust Your Set, a fore-runner of Monty Python, with Michael Palin, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and a young David Jason.
The classics will be unleashed with their traditional energetic zip and palaver. Jollity Farm, Hunting Tigers Out In India, I’m Bored, My Pink Half of the Drainpipe, Big Shot, Monster Mash, The Trouser Press, Can Blue Men Sing The Whites? and many more will all be included in the night.
