EVESHAM gymnasts Alice Dankenbring, Beth Powell, Abbie Turner and Sarah Papworth, along with Studley’s Alana Bridges (far left), competed impressively for Worcestershire Gymnastics Academy as a five-piece under 17 girls team for the first time at the West Midlands Voluntary Floor and Vault Championships at Fenton Manor in Stoke-on-Trent.
The team turned out some very impressive routines and were just edged into a highly respectable second place by only 0.4 marks.
Turner gained a further medal for finishing third overall in this age category.
The Worcestershire Gymnastics Academy sent 36 gymnasts divided into seven different teams and the club won three silvers and one team bronze.
