THE FINAL round of the Evesham Jubilee Angling Society Jubilee Fishery Winter League took place on the Withies pool at the weekend and Phil Seedhouse was crowned overall winner in dramatic circumstances.
A bitterly cold day affected fishing and recorded weighs were low.
Winner of the final round was Derek Hopkins on W35 with 14lb 4oz and second was Alan Gardner with 10lb.
Section winners were Gary Seadon with 5lb 5oz and Doug Smith with a mere 4oz!
The final league result saw Seedhouse and Hopkins tie on 38 points for first place, with Seedhouse winning the cup on weight countback.
Overall standings: 1st Phil Seedhouse 38 points (118lb); 2nd Derek Hopkins 38 points (81lb 3oz); 3rd Gary Seadon 37 points; 4th Dave Bowditch 36 points (85lb 8oz); 5th Alan Gardner 36 points (66lb 9oz); 6th Doug Smith 35 points; 7th Steve Rogers 34 points.
