BLACKMINSTER Cadets Badminton Club members turned on the style at a tournament held at Tudor Grange in Worcester by Worcestershire Badminton Association for non-county players.
The first success was a gold medal won by Liberty Owen in the girls singles. Liberty won all of her group matches to secure victory and take first place.
This was followed by the boys U15 singles in which her brother George won the first two matches in his group but narrowly missed victory in his third match to deny him a place in the semi-finals.
Antony Fordham was also competing in the U15 singles, despite being only 12, and he won all of his three group games to progress to the semi-finals, which he won 21-17 in a tense and frenetic game.
The final followed and turned out to be a hard fought match which Antony lost by two sets to one, but his valiant effort gained him a silver medal.
The final success of the day was in the boys U15 doubles in which George and Antony paired up and secured their place in the final by defeating the pairing of players who had beaten George in his group game and the winner of the boys final who had defeated Antony.
The Blackminster duo then went on to secure a two sets to nil victory in the final and take the gold medal.
