Hospice benefits from John's year of captaincy

Evesham Editorial 3rd May, 2016 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

JOHN MACHIN, past captain of Evesham Golf Club, marked his year at the helm by presenting a cheque for the sum of £750 to Charlie Homer, fund-raiser for St Richard’s Hospice.

Charlie thanked John and all the members of Evesham Golf Club for their generosity and stated this donation was most appreciated as it will fund a day hospice nurse for a week, assisting more than 80 patients with specialist individual care.

John would also like to thank the members, who worked hard to support him during his year as captain, as besides the money raised for the hospice he was also able to present money to the golf club in order for it to fund several outstanding projects.
