Evesham WMC are Division One champions

FOLLOWING recent results, Evesham WMC have been crowned Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League Division One champions.

The league’s longest serving club lifted the title for the fourth time – some 20 years after their last success.

Bear clinched runners-up spot with a 2-0 win at Bretforton Old Boys in which Keen and Bearcroft scored for the Evesham side.

Stour Excelsior won 4-2 at Fladbury Athletic thanks to goals from Robins, Dunsbee, Pratt and Johnson, whilst Fladbury registered through an own goal and a Jack Wood effort.




Cider Mill clinched the Division Three title with a 4-0 victory at Badsey Recreation as Reading and Hardy both netted doubles for the Hampton side, who won 13 of their 14 league matches.

Bluck Cup finalists Inkberrow have secured runners-up spot and they won 3-0 at Ecosamba with goals from Johnson (2) and Firkin.


Chris Clements scored all four goals for Charlton Old Boys in their 4-2 victory at Stour Excelsior Reserves and victory in their final two league matches would clinch runners-up spot behind Division Four champions Tewkesbury Town at the expense of Harvington for the Fladbury-based team.

Ambi Allsports defeated visitors Pebworth 3-2 with goals from Marks, Dawe and Millan, whilst Mallory bagged a brace for Pebworth.

Alcester Town recorded a 3-0 home win over Harvington to reach the semi-finals of the Evesham Hospital Sunday Minor Cup and set up a tie at Cider Mill.
