EVESHAM climbed into sixth place in Worcestershire League Division Two thanks to their second win of the campaign at home to Bredon on Saturday.
Having dismissed the visitors for 147 inside 38 overs thanks in chief to 4-24 from Mohammed Fahim Maan and 3-24 from Sajjad Khan, Evesham appeared to be cruising to victory at 129-5, but a flurry of wickets made for a tense finale.
However, an unbeaten 28 from Sajjad Khan proved enough to get them over the line on 148-9 after captain Muhammad Saqib had earlier top scored with 38.
Evesham host eighth placed Lye on Saturday.
