Evesham Editorial 10th Sep, 2014 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

EVESHAM RFC’s youth section is staging its ‘free fun day’ on Sunday to mark the start of the 2014/15 season.

The event at Evesham Rugby Club is open to everyone and all budding rugby stars are to welcome come along and enjoy a taste of the game.

The event begins at 10.30am and is open to boys and girls, who the club hope will be inspired by England’s recent victory in the Women’s Rugby World Cup.

More than 200 children regularly train and play every week of the season at Evesham and this is the ideal chance for youngsters to join them and for parents to ask any questions they may have.

There will also be three large inflatables to enjoy, as well as obstacle course races and a barbecue including a free hotdog for players, whilst a bar will be open.

AFTER a summer of team building and much effort generally, Evesham began the 2014/15 season with a 57-9 victory at Aldridge in the North Midlands Vase second round on Saturday.

Evesham, who will host Greyhound of Hereford in the quarter-finals, begin their Midlands Four West (South) campaign with a Worcestershire derby at Redditch on Saturday.
