THE WEATHER once again severely affected the fixtures in the latest round of Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League games as only three matches survived.
In Division One, leaders Bretforton Old Boys suffered their first league defeat of the season as, having already knocked Bretforton out of the Pershore Hospital Cup, Broadway United again took the local honours.
Club secretary Richard Craig was the hero as he netted both goals for hosts Broadway in their 2-1 victory, whilst Old Boys scored through Tustin.
Bredon remain rooted to the foot of the division following a 6-1 defeat at Stour Excelsior.
The Shipston side scored through Wyatt (2), Wellsby, Ford, Harris and Dunsbee, whilst visitors Bredon netted a consolation through Beckingham.
Tesco United put their poor league form aside to progress in the Evesham Hospital Minor Cup as doubles from Gibbons and Rock defeated visiting Bromsgrove League Stoke Prior 4-1 to book a place in the third round.
