CHILDREN across Evesham and Pershore who have been airlifted to hospital in the last three years are being invited to a special Christmas party.

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is hosting a ‘Young Heroes Christmas Party’ on Saturday December, 12 at their Strensham Airbase, for youngsters under the age of 16 who have recently been airlifted by them.

The charity’s annual event gives the children the opportunity to meet the aircrew who attended their incidents and to see one of the three air ambulances.

Jason Levy, fund-raising and marketing director for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “On average we airlift a child every four days, so this event is to acknowledge the bravery of these young heroes.

“It’s also an opportunity for the aircrew to see how the youngsters they’ve airlifted are doing now.”

The event is free to attend and children will get to meet Father Christmas, and enjoy festive games and refreshments.
