A BISHAMPTON church is inviting the community to its action-packed family fun summer fête.

St James’ Church is hosting its free ‘Bish Bosh Bash’ fête from 1.30pm to 4.30pm next Saturday (July 16), where visitors can enjoy traditional favourites including fairground games, face painting, a tombola, raffle, stalls, books, cakes and a barbecue.

Sponsored by Vectric Limited and returning for the first time in two years, the fête will also feature floral displays by Bishampton and District Gardening Club, live music by Worcester Concert Brass Band, dancing by Pebworth Morris

Dancers and a range classic cars, including a Ferrari 458 and Maserati 3500.

Brand new to the fête will be the Evesham and District Training Club’s ‘fun dog show’, where pet owners can show off their furry friends across four categories.

Raffle prizes include vouchers for meals out, a beauty treatment, cinema tickets, a round of four-ball golf, wine and a 6ft Christmas tree.

Rev Gary Noyes said: “It’s fantastic the fête is taking shape and it promises to be a real corker of an event.

“We’re crossing our fingers for good weather but come rain or shine, this is a real fun-packed afternoon for the whole family.

“We’re hoping people will put the date in their diaries now to make sure they don’t miss it.”
