VICTOR the Knight rode into The Valley in Evesham to mark a year since the 750th anniversary celebrations of the Battle of Evesham.
He wowed hundreds of families over the weekend who came to enjoy all things knights.
Record numbers of locals flocked to the Evesham Vale Light Railway who put on a ‘Knight Special’, which included a toy sword and shield.
A quick stop on the train to The Valley castle playground and their knight dreams came true as they were greeted by Victor, free archery sessions and some fun stocks, which were run by the Evesham Sea Cadets.
Centre Manager Maria Hughes said: “We can’t believe a year has passed already since the town’s celebrations of The Battle of Evesham.
“We wanted to do our small bit to continue the legacy of the Battle of Evesham.
“We also planning to include some historical battle information at our Castle Playground to help continue the story,” she added.
