THE VALLEY marked the official start of Christmas with its annual festive switch-on event.
Hundreds of people turned out for the event last Thursday (November 26) which was co-hosted with St Richard’s Hospice.
Choirs, bell ringers, festive food and drink and of course Santa himself (courtesy of the Vale of Evesham Round Table) was in attendance.
The event also marked the opening of The Valley Skating Rink – a festive synesthetic skating experience which has been well received and enjoyed.
Centre Manager Maria Hughes, said: “We were thrilled with the attendance, it felt like a genuine community event.
“Huge thanks go to the many local volunteers that helped us raise money for St Richards Hospice.
“We have lots going on over the festive period including Santa Specials with the Evesham Vale Light Railway and The Valley Skating Rink,” she added.
