HARD-WORKING members of the Evesham Sea Cadet Unit, Training Ship (TS) Explorer were honoured for their collecting efforts with a major award.

Cadets received an award for the highest collection of all cadet units in Worcestershire during the 2-2014 Poppy Appeal.

County Vice President Jeff King, and Fiona George, the Evesham Poppy Appeal Organiser presented the awards on behalf of Deputy Lord Lieutenant Angela Brinton.

On behalf of Angela Brinton, Mr King said he was proud to pass on a message from Angela Brinton, recording her thanks for the extraordinary efforts of the TS Explorer Unit for their most valued contribution of £3,277.07.




He also thanked those involved in the annual remembrance services in Evesham on Remembrance Sunday and the following weekend at Bengeworth.
