AN EVESHAM superstore is giving residents the chance to chose what they what like to see improved within the community through its new ‘BIG Project’.
Tesco is calling for the community to decide on how they like the food giant to get ‘hands on’ in the town, which can include anything from general maintenance, decorating and painting.
The project will be run in a similar way to the store’s recent ‘Bags of Help’ scheme, where the Worcester Road store donated £30,000 to good causes in the town, using the money saved from the Government’s 5p carrier bag charge.
A £10,000 grant went to the Vale of Evesham School and £12,000 was donated to Evesham Community Hospital.
Vicki Anderson, Evesham Tesco’s community champion said: “We pride ourselves working within our local community and with lots of projects already completed, we want to give the community the chance to decide what out next project should be.”
The closing date to apply is Sunday, July 31.
