Plum Princess search begins

PERSHORE is looking for its next plum princess and her attendants as the applications for the special honour begins.

Princess hopefuls aged between eight and 11 have the chance to live in a real life fairytale as the prestigious position of being the town’s royal princess becomes vacant.

Olivia Holder, youth co-ordinator of the Pershore Plum Festival said: “The plum princess and her attendants attend all of the events during the festival and play a vital role in the celebration of the fruit which has made Pershore so famous.

“The enthusiasm and passion of our 2014 girls, Analeise, Ella and Lilly, will be a hard act to follow, but they will be the first to agree that their experiences over the past year representing this award winning festival have been truly amazing and they have had the time of their lives.”

Application forms can be collected from Sweet Traditions in Pershore, from the plum festival website at www.pershoreplumfestival.org.uk or by phone on 01386 555139.

The 2015 plum princess will be crowned at the plum princess garden party in the Angel Hotel on Sunday, July 26.
